Christmas trees and decorations

The Norway spruce (Abies nordmanniana) is native to the Caucasus and Anatolia, where it can grow up to 70 meters high.

“Pyntegrönt” is what the Danes say when the Swedes talk about spruce. Trolleholm grows Nobilis fir (Abies procera), a magnificent cascading fir that can reach 80 meters in height in its native USA. The blue-green, tight-fitting needles make the twigs perfect for wreaths and other Christmas decorations. Nobilis rice and Norway spruce do not shed when they come into the heat and the needles are softer than those of ordinary spruce.
