Owning an estate

Owning an estate is about managing and enhancing the values for which you have been given responsibility.

And it is as much about economics as it is about ecology. The estate is located in a varied moraine landscape with strongly varying cultivation characteristics. In the west, large agricultural fields dominate and in the east the forest spreads out. We work purposefully to preserve and develop the cultural and natural history values of the landscape. The main lines of work have been compiled in a ‘Glory Plan’. The aim is to create a varied and structured landscape that is aesthetically attractive while providing a framework for rational agricultural and forestry production.
